VITEEE (Vellore Institute of Technology Engineering Entrance Exam) is the entrance exam conducted for admission to B.Tech programmes only at VIT (Vellore Institute of Technology).

MHT-CET (Maharashtra Common Entrance Test) is an annual entrance exam conducted by the Government of Maharashtra (specifically by the Directorate of Technical Education). This exam is conducted for take admission in degree courses in Engineering, Health Sciences and Pharmacy in Maharashtra state. MHT-CET score is accepted by all Govt. / Govt. Aided/University Managed Colleges / University Departments / Autonomous Colleges including ICT, Mumbai and Unaided Private Colleges (those colleges who have given consent to participate in MHT-CET-2010) of Engineering & Pharmacy degree courses.

If you want to take admission in Vellore Institute of Technology and its affiliated colleges, you should go for VITEEE, however, for admission in any engineering college in Maharashtra state you should appear for MHT-CET. It totally depends on you that in which state and in which college of Maharashtra state you want to enroll for engineering course.
