Dear Student,

There is no special degree required for becoming a game designer. To be a game developer, he must truly love games. Not just playing games, but understanding games. Usually, Game Designers have a bachelor's degree in Game Design, Computer Engineering or Computer Science which takes four to five years to complete. Courses in a Game Design degree programme may include project management, integrated video design and technology, game prototyping and level design.

Skills required to becoming programmer-

As a Video game programmer, you must have excellent computer skills, including the ability to write and interpret code. He must have extensive knowledge of the major programming languages, such as C/C++ and Java, and popular gaming systems manufactured by Nintendo, Microsoft and Sony.
