Hi,

First of all, you need to understand the difference an MBA degree and a PGDM degree. MBA is a degree course, whereas PGDM is a diploma course. MBA degree is awarded by those institutes that are affiliated to any university, whereas PGDBM courses are offered by private B-Schools that are not affiliated to any University. So JBIMS, FMS and PUMBA are university departments of a particular university like FMS is the part of University of Delhi and follow a curriculum prescribed by university (University of Delhi) and IIM, XLRI, IIFT, SP Jain, etc. are institutes that are not part of any university and hence offer PGDM degrees.

All MMS and diploma courses are same which caters to the needs of business executives of various companies through to enhance business skills and learn managerial decision making. But it’s good to go for degree course. You can get better placement opportunities after MBA in private as well as government organisations. If you want to join government sector after getting a management degree, there are ample opportunities in form of Banking sectors and the Public Sector Business enterprises. If you do MBA in Finance and Marketing, you can join also the aviation administration and the cargo management. Moreover, you can work as a management trainee in SAIL (Steel authorities of India Ltd.), NTPC (National Thermal Power Corporation) and BHEL (Bharat Heavy Electricals Ltd.) after MBA. If you do MBA in HR, then you can try for jobs in administration and account related department.

Besides, you can appear for several competitive examinations conducted by both the central government and state governments. This includes civil services, state civil services, railway and other examinations. There are research fellowship programmes like JRF (Junior Research Fellowship) and SRF (Senior Research Fellowship) sponsored by the governments which require PG (Post Graduate) degree. As we know government jobs are rare, but you can try for government jobs by following employment news.

Good luck!!!
