When you are preparing for GDPI, put forward your points in English and counter argue it in English as well. Have confidence in yourself, because if you think straight and believe in your point of view, just speak your mind. As much as Eglish speaking is important, your views and opinions are too! So, don't stress so much, otherwise, you will miss out on the main preparation of topics for GDPI!
