After your master’s degree in botany, you have to study for another two to three years to earn a doctorate in botany if you want to be in teaching line. With a doctorate in botany you can teach, work as an administrator or carry out research work in any university.

If you want to teach in primary and middle school you should clear the CTET Exam and if you want to teach in government higher secondary schools you should clear SET Exam. The recruitment of teacher / other teaching faculty to these institutions will be on the basis of candidates’ performance in the test conducted by various governmental departments such as UPSC, PSC, etc. For further it depends on you in which field you want to go on with your career.
