All India Combined Competitive Examination for the Civil Services conducted by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC).

The responsibility of an IAS officer is civil administration, planning and formulation of policies and their implementation. Career of an IAS officer starts with the state administration at the sub-divisional level, as a sub divisional magistrate. As you want to become an IAS, it is very good option to serve the nation. Since you are interested in law, you can begin your career in government sectors as lawyer in tax and labour departments, public prosecutors or in defense fields. Experienced ones can move up to the positions like Associate Attorney, Attorney, and Solicitor General, etc.

Lawyers, Engineers and Doctors all are earn more with more experience. Many lawyers as compared to doctors earn more. All are earning in their fields as per their experience and work area.
