Dear student,

There is no special degree required for becoming a game designer. To be a game developer, you must truly love games. Not just playing games, but understanding games. Usually, Game Designers have a bachelor's degree in Game Design, Computer Engineering or Computer Science which takes four to five years to complete. Courses in a Game Design degree program may include project management, integrated video design and technology, game prototyping and level design.

Skills required to become programmer-

As a Video game programmer, you must have excellent computer skills, including the ability to write and interpret code. You must have extensive knowledge of the major programming languages, such as C/C++ and Java, and popular gaming systems manufactured by Nintendo, Microsoft and Sony.

Animation is a form of art wherein inanimate objects are brought into life by sequencing the drawn images. Cartoons are the best examples of classic animation. These days, computer animation is used extensively because it is faster than the traditional animation. An animation course teaches many software applications these days like Alias Power Animator/ Maya, Kinetix 3D Studio Max, SoftImage and Lightwave.
