Hi,

Many of the universities and institutes offer B.E. in Mechanical Engineering programme to diploma holders.

Eligibility: -
1. You should have passed 10+2 or an equivalent examination with English, Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics scoring at least 50% aggregate marks in the PCM combination.
2. As a diploma holder you can get admission in B.E. degree course through lateral entry to fulfill the requirement of institute. This will save your one year and get admission directly to the second year.

Some colleges take admission through lateral entry exams like Joint Entrance Examination of Lateral Entry (JELET), Diploma to Degree Entrance Competitive exam, etc. so you need to appear and crack these exams like MHT-CET. Some institutes also want 6 months work experience either as trainee or Employee for admission to this course.
