If you are not getting a combination of course and college as per your preference, you can wait for another year and prepare well to achieve your goal. For instance, you are going through a situation where you cannot wait for another year to test your future and you should make a decision now; you should go with the options left out there.

You are, but just a student right now, so obviously no one expects you to know what you want, say 10 years down the line. This is an evolution process for you to understand and realise what you actually want to do. When in a dilemma on the course you want to pursue, we suggest you to go for the college. Chances are, because of the college’s reputation, you will be in a good position anyways at the end of the 4 years of B. Tech and additionally gain insight on your choice of education and subsequently your career as well.

And if you are sure about the course you want to pursue and doing anything else will not be just worthy enough for you, then there’s no scope for further questions to be asked.
