If you are a student of diploma or just completed your diploma, then you are eligible for doing B.E. or B.Tech on the basis of lateral entry i.e. you will get admission directly in the 2nd year.

You can do B.tech or B.E. after giving entrance exams of any university or college you want to join and hence have to clear the entrance. The questions would be either technical or reasoning questions.  You can also get admission through Management quota or paid seats also.

Otherwise, you can take exams like WBJEE and LEET for lateral entry into other state engineering colleges.
