HI dropping a year is not at all advisable,  I would suggest you  that you can try for UTM Shillong in COmputer engineering with cloud computing and virtualization tech.  It is one of the best when it comes to B.Tech , my friend has pursued her B.Tech in Computer science with spln. in cloud computing and virtualization tech, now she is placed in TCS. She asked me to join in with her at UTM but i dropped a year that went a total waste, later next year I went to study in Rajasthan. Now i regret my decision after seeing her position and the job. There is no use regretting now, but if you are looking forward to study at UTM then go ahead without any hesitation.
