Mechanical Engineering
Mechanical engineering deals with design, analysis, manufacture and maintenance of anything that has moveable components. Mechanical engineers will design, analyse, test, manufacture and maintain anything that has these moveable parts. This branch of engineering is the third most sought after in India. This “mother” branch is an “all-weather” and “all-purpose” field that allows engineers specialising in it to enter all possible sectors.

Civil Engineering
Civil engineering is the oldest branch in engineering after military engineering. Many of the important things in our lives that we have taken for granted are here because of civil engineering and civil engineers. These include the roads we travel on every day, the water and sewage treatment plants that provide us with safe water supplies and the dams and power stations that generate electricity for us. In short, most structures, large and small, require the help of a civil engineer whether in the designing, planning or managing of the project. A civil engineer is the guy wearing the yellow helmet surrounded by mounds of concrete, cement mixers, bricks and mortar, cranes and bull-dozers.
