Indian Science Engineering Eligibility Test (ISEET) to be conducted in lieu of All India Engineering Entrance Examination (AIEEE) & Indian Institute of Technology - Joint Entrance Examination (IIT JEE).

ISEET will have two parts i.e Main and Advance, which would be of three hours each. While ISEET Main will be an objective type exam and will be consisting questions on comprehension, critical thinking and logical reasoning, ISEET Advance will check your problem-solving ability in basic science subjects. The two tests together will indicate an aspirant’s academic level and aptitude for science and engineering.

These are some major changes in Indian Institute of Technology - Joint Entrance Examination (IIT-JEE) –

The IIT-JEE (Joint Entrance Examination) will undergo major changes from 2013 with the aim of reducing stress on engineering college aspirants.

As per the new pattern of IIT-JEE, students will have to crack questions based on reasoning and all other subjects that the students have studied in their schools. The test will also include questions related to subjects like Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.

The applications will now have to take the test that will be conducted in two parts on the same day i.e JEE-Main and JEE-Advanced. The merit list would be prepared based on the collective scores of standardised school board marks and performance in the IIT-JEE-Main examination. The ranking for admission to undergraduate programmes in IITs (Indian Institute of Technology) would be based on the screened student’s performance in the JEE-advanced examination.

Admission to other centrally-funded technical institutions such as NITs and IITs would be based on ranking derived from 40% weightage to standardised Class 10+2 board marks, 30% weightage to performance in JEE-Main and 30% weightage for performance in JEE-Advanced.
