Pharm D (Doctor of Pharmacy) is a six years professional doctorate degree programme in pharmacy.

Eligibility: you should have passed in 10+2 examination with Physics and Chemistry as compulsory subjects along with one of the subjects from Mathematics or Biology with atleast 50% marks or passed D.Pharm course from an institution approved by the Pharmacy council.

Pharm D is mainly hospital oriented field. Pharmacy offers good career opportunities both by way of jobs as well as in terms of starting your own business as a Pharmacist, etc. Apart from the drug manufacturing industry, pharmacists are also employed in the chemical industry and food and drug control organisations.
