After Completing B.Sc Biomedical Sciences, you can opt for Master’s degree in Bio-Medical Science, Bio-Chemistry, Bio-Ethics, Nanotechnology, Biotechnology, Genetics, Bioinformatics, Environmental Sciences, Toxicology and other allied subjects.

As mentioned, B.Sc in Bio Medical Science is the minimum eligibility criteria to pursue M.Sc in the above courses. 

Biomedical scientists carry out a range of laboratory tests to assist doctors in the diagnosis and treatment of disease. The roles of biomedical scientists in an area such as surgery includes tests for emergency blood transfusions and blood grouping as well as tests on samples from patients who may have overdosed etc.

The other things you can do as a Biomedical graduate include: join a clinical lab/ forensic lab, analytical chemistry laboratories, hospitals and private consultancies, pharmaceutical production, drug company, lecturer, Chemist etc., besides doing a  postgraduate training/education programmes. Other options include biomedical scientist, medical lab assistant, retinal screener, ward administrator, product analyst, phlebotomist, senior healthcare technical officer and a teacher. In India too, there are various options that you have like: Consultant, museum Educator, Biotech Engineer, Pharmaceuticals, Food Processing, Researcher, Biophysicist, Epidemiologist, Food Scientist, Immunologist, Nutritionist, Laboratory Technician, Biology Content Developer etc.

Some of the major employers include: AIIMS, Bcs-Insilico Biology, Tata Memorial Centre and Indian Society of Cell Biology.
