National Law University (NLU), Delhi conducts All India Law Entrance Test (AILET) for admission to B.A.LL.B (Hons.), LL.M and Ph.D Degree Programmes. This is a national level exam which is conducted once a year for various law courses. The exam helps candidates get admission in various UG and PG law courses in National Law University, Delhi. AILET 2018 exam has been scheduled on May 6, 2018, notification for which will be released in the first week of January 2018.
National Law University, Delhi (NLU-Delhi) is a specialized law university offering courses at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. It is one of the elite national law schools in India built on the five-year law degree model proposed and implemented by the Bar Council of India.
To ensure that candidates don’t miss any important even like release of notification, registration dates, admit card, and result, it is essential to mark the dates in calendar. Given below is AILET 2018 tentative calendar.

AILET 2018 eligibility criteria are different for varied law courses offered by National Law University, Delhi. Candidates must check the conditions before filling the application form to ensure that they don’t make any mistake.
B.A., LL.B. (Hons.)- Five-Year Programme:
Eligibility: Candidates should have passed Senior Secondary School Examination (10+2) or equivalent examination in any discipline with 50% marks. Students appearing in the 12th standard examination in March/April, 2020 can also apply.
Age: Applicants should be below 20 years as on 1 July 2018 (23 years in case of SC/ST candidates).
Class 12th appearing candidates are also allowed to apply for the exam.
LL.M. (One year):
Eligibility: Aspirants should complete LL.B. or an equivalent degree with 55% marks (50% in case of SC/ST/ Persons with Disability). The candidates appearing in final LL.B. examination in April/May, 2020 can also apply.
Candidates appearing in final year exam of LL.B are also eligible to register for AILET 2018 exam.
Total Seats: 20 + 5 seats for Foreign Nationals
Ph.D Programme:
Eligibility: Applicants having LL.M. Degree with 55% marks or its equivalent (50% in case of SC/ST/ Persons with Disability) are eligible for the examination.

AILET 2018 application process will complete only after payment of application. Candidates can pay the fee only in online mode through debit/ credit card or net banking.
BPL candidates from SC/ST category don’t need to pay AILET 2018 application fee.

Question paper for B.A, LL.B (Hons.) programme will include questions from General Knowledge, English, Reasoning and Elementary Mathematics, and Legal Aptitude.
LL.M. paper will have questions from Constitutional Law, Law of Contracts, Law of Torts, Legal Theory and Criminal Law.
PhD question paper will have 2 papers: Paper I on Research Methodology and Paper II will be Research Proposal Specific Paper. In Paper I candidates will get 100 MCQs which they need to solve in 1 hour and 30 minutes. In Paper II they will have to submit a research proposal of maximum 15 pages on the topic in which they want to pursue PhD.
