The Common Entrance Test (CET) is a state level entrance exam. The exam is conducted by Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (GGSIPU) for admissions to the various engineering, technological & scientific programmes (at the undergraduate and postgraduate level) it offers. Some of these degrees are:
B.Tech, M.Tech, MCA, M.Sc. (Environment Management), M.Sc.(Forensic Science), M.Sc.(Ciminology), B.Arch., BCA, BBA, MBA, BMC, B.Sc.(MLT), B.Sc.(Hons) Nursing, BJ(MC), BASLP, BRT, B.Pharma, BPT, MPT, BHMCT, B.Ed., LLB, LLM, MAHM, MCPHM, MHRPD, BHMS, MBBS and Ph.D etc
We will discuss in detail here the CET for BHMCT (Bachelor of Hotel Management Catering Technology). The application process for IPU CET 2018 will start from the last week of January 2018. Candidates who have successfully cleared Class 12th exam can apply for undergraduate courses while to apply for postgraduate courses candidates must have cleared graduation.

Candidates who want to apply for Bachelor of Hotel Management Catering Technology (BHMCT) course by taking IPU CET 2018 exam must have cleared class 12 exams. The candidates must have scored at least 50% marks. They also need to pass in English as a core or an elective subject in 12th class.
CET (GGSIPU) BHMCT 2018 application form will be released in January 2018. Once the application forms are released online, the candidates who want to pursue BHMCT from GGSIPU can fill the forms.
To apply for CET (GGSIPU) BHMCT 2018 candidates need to visit the official website of GGSIPU that is www.ipu.ac.in. As there is no allowed in the application form after you submit it, make sure you fill all the information correctly. It is better to read the guidelines before filling CET (GGSIPU) BHMCT 2018 application form to avoid any mistake.
How to fill CET (GGSIPU) BHMCT 2018 application form?
Candidates need to pay INR 1000 to complete the form filling process. No CET (GGSIPU) BHMCT 2018 application will be accepted without payment of application fee.
Candidates who qualify in the written round will be called for counselling. Candidates need to check the merit list prepared after declaration of the result to find their names. Counselling will be conducted both in online as well as offline mode in which candidates can participate by paying INR 1000. Candidates can pay the fee online through net banking or by using their debit/ credit card or by depositing the challan in any branch of Indian Bank. As the documents will also be verified in the counselling session, candidates need to carry their registration slip, admit card, ID proof, character certificate and certificate of qualifying examination with them.

The GGSIPU-CET is not common for different courses. There is a separate entrance test on separate dates for each course. But the format of the question papers for all courses is more or less the same; they consist of multiple-choice objective-type questions (150 questions, 600 marks, 2.5 hours). The answers have to be marked on an OMR sheet. Every question is of equal weightage, with negative marking for wrong answers.
CET (GGSIPU) BHMCT 2018 will be conducted at 9 centres across India. Candidates applying for B.Tech, MCA and MBA courses need to fill their preference of test city while filling CET (GGSIPU) BHMCT 2018 application form. For other courses including BHMCT, the exam will be conducted in Delhi only.
