Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Advanced 2020 will be conducted by one of the seven zonal IITs under the guidance of the Joint Admission Board (JAB) 2020. Admissions to the Bachelor’s, Integrated Master’s and Dual Degree programs (entry at the 10+2 level) in all the IITs and the ISM will be based on the scores of JEE Advanced 2020.
Candidates who are aspiring to appear for JEE Advanced 2020 exam must sit for JEE Main 2020 Paper I which is going to be held in the month of April 2020.
IIT JEE Advanced 2020 will be conducted on May 21, 2020 by the 2020 conducting body IIT Madras.
Candidates appearing for JEE Advanced 2020 must satisfy all the five criteria given below:
1. Performance in JEE Main 2020: The applicant must be among the top 2, 00,000 including all categories by scoring positive marks in JEE Main 2020 Paper I.

2. Age Criteria: Applicant must have been born on or after October 1, 1991. There will be a relaxation of five years for students belonging to SC, ST and PwD category.
3. Attempts: An aspirant can appear for JEE Advanced two times in consecutive years. Hence, students who appeared for JEE Advanced 2016 for the first time can appear for JEE Advanced 2020 also.
4. Appearance in 10+2 examination: Applicant should have appeared for Class 12th exam for the first time in 2016 or 2020. Those appeared for 12th exams in 2014 or earlier are not eligible for JEE Advanced 2020. However, students whose 10+2 results were declared after June 2015 are eligible to appear in JEE (Advanced) 2020.
5. Earlier admission at IITs or ISM: Candidate should not have been admitted or accepted any IIT or ISM seat by reporting at a reporting centre in the past. Applicants whose admission at IITs or ISM was cancelled are also not eligible.
Also, candidates are allowed to appear for JEE (Advanced) a maximum of two times in consecutive years. Therefore, candidates who appeared in JEE (Advanced) 2016 for the first time are also eligible for 2020 application.
The candidates can apply for JEE Advanced 2020 at online mode only. Applicants are required to visit the online portal of JEE Advanced 2020 i.e. http://www.jeeadv.ac.in/.
After login to the portal, fill up all the required information in the page (including question paper language, exam city etc). Upload scanned copy of all requisite documents. Pay registration fee for JEE Advanced 2020 as per the instructions mentioned in the portal.
According to a survey 20,000 more students will be appearing in JEE Advanced 2020 and this increase in applications will take the total number of applicants to around 2.2. lakhs.
