Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) conducts Karnataka Common Entrance Test (KCET) every year for admission to Engineering, Medical, Dental, Ayurveda, Homoeopathy, Unani, Naturopathy & Yoga, Technology, Architecture and scores of other courses across colleges within the state of Karnataka for the seats that fall within the share of state government. The first exam was held in 1984.
To take admission in Medical, Dental, Ayurveda, Homoeopathy, Unani, Naturopathy and Yoga courses, the applicant should have passed Karnataka 2nd PUC/12th standard or equivalent exam with Physics, Chemistry and Biology as optional subjects. Candidates should have studied English as one of the languages and have obtained a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate in the PCB group. However, the applicable pass percentage for SC, ST and OBC remains 40%.
Engineering & Technology - 12th passed with min. 45% marks in PCM (40% for reserved categories).
Medical/ Dental/ Other - 12th passed with min. 50% marks in PCB with English (40% for reserved categories).
Architecture - 12th passed with min. 50% marks with Mathematics (45% for reserved categories).
B.Sc (Forestry & Agri.) & B.HSc - 12th passed with PCB.
B.Tech (Agri.) - 12th passed with PCM.
B.Pharma - Must have 45% marks in PCM or PCB or D.Pharma (40% for reserved categories).
B.Tech (Fisheries, Dairy, Food Tech.) - 12th passed with PCMB

There is no offline mode available for KCET application and the examination authority has and the application forms available on the official portal from 27th January 2020.

Candidates are recommended to file their KCET application before the last date of application of KCET 2020, which is 8th March 2020.
KEA will release the KCET 2020 admit cards on the official website in the month of April 2020. Applicants can follow the steps mentioned below to download KCET admit cards 2020.

Applicants should check the details on the admit cards as soon they download it and in the case of any grievance candidates are recommended to contact the examination authority immediately.

Students should keep in mind while applying for KCET that every general/OBC category applicant will be charged with Rs. 650 as KCET application fees, whereas for SC/ST candidates charges will be Rs. 500.
Also, this application fees is non-refundable.
KEA will announce KCET 2020 results in the last week of May 2020 once the Karnataka University engineering entrance test is conducted on 2nd & 3rd May, 2020.
Applicants are required to check the official website of KEA to view KCET 2020 results by entering their registered roll no.
Also, HTcampus advises students to take a print of the KCET 2020 result for future references.

Also, keep a note that only KCET qualified students will be allowed to take part in KCET counselling along with the valid KCET scores.
KEA will call qualified candidates for KCET counselling according to the merit.
Students will be able to book a seat in their choice of the institute (affiliated by Karnataka University) and in their choice of course, but only on the basis of KCET merit.
Aspirants are recommended to take along all the required documents mentioned in the KCET 2020 prospectus for verification and make the admission procedure successful.
Candidates are also required to pay the Karnataka University admission fees at the time of seat allotment.

Candidates must have passed 10+2 with PCB subjects if they want to take admission in Medical, Dental, Ayurveda, Homoeopathy, Unani, Naturopathy and Yoga courses and PCM subjects if they eye seats in Engineering and Technology courses.
KCET 2020 examination will be conducted on 2nd & 3rd May, 2020.
KCET is a written examination conducted at various centres around the country to test candidates’ engineering knowledge.
KCET 2020 will be an objective type question paper consisting of three sections and 60 questions per section. Applicants will be allotted 4 hours to attempt 230 questions.
Students are also recommended to practice KCET previous year question papers for thorough preparations.
