MICAT 2018 - Mudra Institute of Communication, Ahmadabad (MICA) conducts MICA Admissions Test for admission to PGDBM-C programme equivalent to an MBA with specialisations in Marketing Research, Digital Communication Management, Brand Management, Media Management and Advertising. Mudra Institute of Communication, Ahmadabad (MICA) is an AICTE approved specialised institute offering strategic management and communication courses. It is only residential institute offering such programmes in India. MICAT is conducted twice a year. MICAT 1 will be conducted in December, 2020 and MICAT 2 will be conducted in February 2018. The application process of MICAT 2018 for December exam is expected to be started from the last week of September and will be continued until November, 2020. Admit card of MICAT 2018 will be released in the first week of December. Entrance exam will be conducted in December itself and the result of the exam will be out till the first week of January, 2018.
MICAT 2 will be conducted in February, 2018. Application process of MICAT 2 will begin in January, 2018. Final result will be declared in March. MICAT is national level entrance examination which will be conducted in computer based mode. It will be conducted around 27 cities across the country. A large number of students will appear for the exam.

MICAT eligibility criteria 2018 are the norms which are compulsory to be fulfilled by the candidates. If any candidate fails to fulfil the eligibility norms of MICAT 2018. He/she will be disqualified at the time of counseling or document verification. It is essential to provide all the details regarding the eligibility of the candidates accurately in the application form.
1. Admission to the PGDM (C) programme requires a Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent qualification in any discipline recognized by the Association of Indian Universities (AIU).
2. Candidates appearing for final examinations towards a Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) are also eligible to apply.
3. Candidates who demonstrate the aptitude for expressing, assessing or conceiving ideas that move people to action and achieve business results, tend to stand a better chance of being shortlisted.

5. Foreign nationals can also apply for MICAT exam. However, they must have a foreign passport and GMAT scores (2016 onwards) of 600+

Mudra Institute of Communication, Ahmedabad is the conducting body of MICAT 2018. Application form of MICAT 1 is expected to be released in the last week of September 2020 and will be continued till the fourth week of November. It will be available in online mode.
MICAT 2 application procedure will start from the first week of January, 2018 and will end in the fourth week of January, 2018. All the interested candidates must submit the application form and fee of MICAT 2018 within the specified time period. The candidates must ensure that all the information provided in the MICAT 2018 application form is accurate. Candidates will be required to upload a recent photograph while filling the application form.
For the online application of MICAT, follow below-mentioned steps:
Applicants can apply by online mode or offline mode for MICAT 2020. Candidates who wish to fill the application in offline mode need to download the MICAT application forms 2020 from the official portal or buy it from the main campus. The forms need to be posted to the official address of MICA before the last date of submission to avoid cancellation. The application fee for MICAT is Rs. 1965/- for all eligible candidates.
After the submission of registration form, candidates will have to pay the MICAT application fee. The application fee for each category is same i.e.1965 INR. Candidates can pay the application fee online or offline.
Mode of Payment
Candidates can pay their application fee through Credit card/ Debit Card/ Net Banking, Cash at SBI Bank, Demand Draft and Counter Payment.
Credit Card/ Debit Card – Candidates can pay the application fee online through Visa or Master Card.
Net Banking – Candidates can transfer MICAT application fee to MICA account through net banking.
Cash at SBI Branches – The aspirants can pay the MICA test fee at any of the SBI bank branches to make the payment in cash. They will need to take a print out of the SBI bank challan. One of the copies of the challan will be taken by the bank and two of the copies will be given back to the applicant.
Payment at Counter – The applicants can also pay MICAT test fee at any of the payment counters available in various cities.
After the successful payment and registration for MICAT 2018 exam, candidates will receive an email consisting MICA Id and password.

The result of MICAT 2018 for December exam is expected to be declared in the last week of December. To check the result, candidates will have to enter their login credentials i.e. MICAT user Id and password. MICAT result 2018 will be announced in the form of scaled score.
MICAT 2 will be conducted in February, 2018. MICAT result for February exam is likely to be announced in the third week of February. The final merit list will be declared by MICA and is expected to be published in the fourth week of March, 2018.
Once the result will be declared, MICA will determine the cutoff for PGDM-C programme which offers 180 seats. MICAT cutoff will be the minimum marks needed to get shortlisted for further admission procedure.
Candidates who will qualify MICA Admission Test will be called for Group Exercise (GE) and Personal Interview (PI) rounds to get a seat at the Institute. The selection will happen in two phases – the first phase of Group Exercise & Personal Interview (GE-PI) will be conducted at Bangalore, Delhi, Kolkata & Mumbai, whereas the second phase GE-PI will be done at MICA Ahmedabad only.
MICA will prepare the final merit list of MICAT 2018 on the basis of below-mentioned weightage:

Psychometric Test
This idea of this test is to examine the behavioural and characteristic qualities of the aspirants. This section contains psychometric questions that analyse the behaviour of the candidates. The Psychometric Test comprises objective type questions and it is compulsory for the candidates to answer all the questions. The other sections of only those candidates are evaluated who qualify the Psychometric Test

This section will consist of the descriptive questions. In this section candidate’s skills of creative writing will be evaluated.
List of MICAT 2018 exam centres will be published along with the MICAT application form. Candidates will have to select the exam centres while filling the application form. They can choose the MICAT test centres as per their preference and convenience. Name and address of the test centre will be mentioned on the MICAT admit card 2018. Last year, MICAT was conducted in 27 cities. Candidates are suggested to choose the names of test centres very carefully. Once the application form and fee will be submitted, they will not be able to make any changes in the form.
