The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) conducts NEET UG 2018 i.e. National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test for admission to the undergraduate medical courses at all India level. Being the only entrance exam for admission to MBBS and BDS, lakhs of students appear for NEET every year.
Students completed their 12th with Biology and those who are waiting for their results register for NEET every year to secure a seat in top medical colleges and dental colleges in India.
NEET exam has replaced medical entrance exams like AIPMT and DUMET from 2013 onwards and is widely conducted in more than 100 cities across India. The number of expected test takers is more than 11 lacs in NEET 2018 who will be competing for 55, 000 medical and dental seats in thousands of colleges.

The next thing students do after reading the overview of the examination is to check if s/he is eligible to appear for it. To help you find the eligibility conditions, we are providing you detailed admission criteria here:
The applicant must have attained the age of 17 years either at the time of admission or on or before December 31, 2018.
The maximum age limitation for 15% All India Quota Seats is 25 years as on December 31, 2018.
There will be a relaxation of 5 years in the maximum age for the applicants belonging to Scheduled Caste/ Scheduled Tribe/Other Backward-Class categories.
Students belonging to Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and J&K are not eligible for the 15% All India quota seats until they claim the eligibility by submitting an online Self-Declaration, which will be verified at the time of counselling.
Such candidates can appear in NEET for admission to Private Medical/Dental Colleges or any Private/Deemed University and Armed Forces Medical College (AFMC), Pune, subject to the fulfilment of eligibility conditions.
The applicant must have attained the age of 17 years either at the time of admission or on or before December 31, 2018.
Overseas Citizens of India (OCI) are eligible for admission in Medical/Dental Colleges subject to the rules and regulations framed by the respective State Governments and the Government of India.
The upper age limit for candidates seeking admission under seats in the control of participating States/ Universities/ Institutions shall be as per their rules and regulations.

NEET 2018 Eligibility Criteria
Students willing to appear for NEET 2018 exam can fill the online application form by visiting the official website of CBSE NEET 2018 i.e. www.cbseneet.nic.in once the application process starts. After the official announcement of NEET 2018 application forms commencement, applications are required to click on the "Apply Online" button available on the official website of NEET 2018. After filling up all the required information, the applicant should make a payment by using Debit Card/ Credit Card.
NEET 2018 registration will be starting in the month of January 2018.
The CBSE has set different application charges for NEET 2018 students belonging to different categories. Here is the category wise application fee for NEET 2018:

The Medical Counselling Committee of Directorate General of Health Services will conduct NEET 2018 counselling in the month of June 2018. Successful candidates can participate in the counselling as per their rank secured in NEET 2018.
The MCC will conduct the counselling for 15% seats under All India Quota while the rest 85% seats will be managed by the respective authorities.
