NIT MCA Common Entrance Test, commonly known as NIMCET is a national level entrance examination required for admission to MCA programme in 11 National Institutes of Technology (NITs) viz. Agartala, Allahabad, Bhopal, Calicut, Durgapur, Jamshedpur, Kurukshetra, Raipur, Surathkal, Tiruchirappalli and Warangal.

NIMCET 2016 Eligibility Criteria

Applicant must be an Indian citizen.

Candidate must secure minimum 60% marks or 6.5 CGPA (55% marks or 6.0 CGPA for SC/ST students) in B.Sc/ B.Sc (Hons)/ BCA/ BIT of minimum three years full-time.

B.E/ B.Tech degree holders can also apply for NIMCET 2016.

Students appearing for qualifying examination are also eligible.

NIMCET 2016 Application Details

There will be a common NIMCET application form to apply for all the 11 participating NITs. Candidate will need to visit the official website of NIMCET and register himself/herself by creating username and password.

After receiving login credentials, sign in to the NIMCET 2016 website and fill up the required details. Select the suitable payment mode from Credit Card, Debit Card, Debit Card + ATM PIN, Internet Banking and make payment. After depositing the processing fee through NIMCET website, take a print out of payment receipt (which needs to be sent to NIMCET 2016 office along with the generated application form).

After successfully filling up the application form, take a print out of “Check List” stated in the “Information Brochure” of NIMCET 2016. This “Check List” should be sent to NIMCET 2016 office along with the other documents.

Application fees detail

The non-refundable processing fee of NIMCET is Rs. 1, 800/- for General and OBC candidates and Rs. 900/- for SC/ST category applicants.
