Tamil Nadu Common Entrance Test (TANCET) is a state level entrance examination which is conducted by Anna University on behalf of the Government of Tamil Nadu. TANCET is required to take admission to MBA, MCA, M.E, M.Tech, M.Plan and M.Arch degree offered by colleges in Tamilnadu.

MBA	Candidate should have a graduate degree with minimum 50% (45% for reserved category students) from a recognized university.	10+2+3 years pattern
		10+3 years Diploma +3 years pattern
		B.E./B.Tech./B.Arch./B.Pharm
		10+2+AMIE OR 10+3 Diploma + AMIE
MCA	Applicant should have a Bachelor’s degree with Mathematics at 10+2 level or at graduate level with minimum 50% marks (45% for reserved category students) from a recognized university.	10+2+3 OR 10+2+4 years Pattern
		10+3 years diploma + 3 years Pattern
		10+2+AMIE OR 10+3 years Diploma + AMIE
MCA Lateral Entry	Candidate should have a BCA, B.Sc. (Computer Science / Information Technology) degree with Mathematics at 10+2 level or at graduate level with at least 50% marks (45% marks in case of reserved category students)	10+2+3 years Pattern
M.E./ M.Tech./ M.Arch./ M.Plan	Candidate should complete Bachelor’s degree in relevant field with minimum 50% marks (45% for candidates belonging to reserved category).	B.E/ B.Tech./ B.Arch.
		B.Pharm./ B.Sc (Agriculture/ Forestry/ Horticulture/ Fishery)
		Master’s Degree in the relevant branch of Science / Arts, mentioned above

		MCA after 10+2+3 year’s Bachelor’s degree

There are two modes to apply for TANCET 2016:

Online Registrations:

Visit the official website of Anna University and fill up the application form with required details. Upload your recent photograph as per the standards mentioned in the form and download the filled application form.

Send the downloaded application form along with the documents stated in the FAQs section to the address mentioned below:

Offline Registrations:

Candidate can apply for TANCET 2016 by visiting at the co-ordinating centres along with the required documents.

Application fees detail

TANCET 2016 fee is Rs. 500/- for general students and Rs. 250/- for SC/SCA/ST candidates belonging to Tamilnadu.
