Xavier Aptitude Test (XAT) is conducted every year by Xavier Labour Relations Institutes (XLRI), now known as Xavier School of Management on behalf of Xavier Association of Management Institutes (XAMI). XAT is a national level exam and is one of the most popular management entrance exams after CAT and MAT. XAT, however, differs from other management entrance examinations as candidates are also expected to write an essay on a given topic besides the usual objective type questions. The essay is considered only for admission to XLRI, Jamshedpur.

The notification for XAT 2018 was released on August 14. This year, a major change has been made to the XAT exam, which is change of exam mode. XAT 2018 will be an online test unlike the pen-paper one. XLRI XAT 2018 will be conducted in online mode on January 7, 2018. The candidates willing to take this MBA entrance test this year must fill the XAT application form 2018. The registration for XAT 2018 exam can be done in online mode only, at the XAT official website, www.xatonline.in. The last date to pay the application fee and submit the XAT application form is November 30, 2020. Before applying for the exam, the candidates must go through the eligibility norms laid down by XLRI for appearing for the exam.

Based on XAT 2018 score, candidates can take admission to various post graduate management programs offered by XLRI, XAMI member Institutes and over 150+ XAT participating colleges.

 

XAT 2018 Eligibility Criteria

As mentioned above, XAT 2018 aspirants must check the eligibility criteria before they begin with XAT 2018 registration. The XLRI XAT eligibility norms 2018 are as follow -

Applicant must complete a Bachelor’s degree of minimum 3 years duration in any discipline from a recognised university. Students with less than 50% marks in their graduation can also apply for XAT 2018. 

The candidates appearing for their final year examinations of Bachelor's degree and will be able to complete graduation by June 10, 2020 are also eligible to apply for XAT 2018 exam. Such students will be required to submit the proofs at the time of admission.

There is no age restriction for XAT.

XAT 2018 Application Details

XAT 2018 application form is available in online mode only. However, the appliation fee to apply for XAT exam can be paid in both, online and offline mode. 

Candidates applying for XAT 2018 need to follow these steps:

Visit XAT 2018 official website, www.xatonline.in and fill the registration form. They will have to fill details such as their name, email Id and mobile number in the registration form. On submission of these details, the XAT 2018 login credentials will be sent to the candiidates on their registered email id and mobile number. 

Using these login details, the candidates must again visti the XAT official website and login as an 'existing user' to obtain the applicatipn form. Here the candidates will have to fill details such as their Name, Gender, Date of Birth, Father’s Name, Mother’s Name, Category, Phone Number, Mailing Address, Permanent Address, Educational Qualifications etc.

Fill up all the required information in the online XAT 2018 registration form correctly. Once filling up all the details, you will have the preview of the inputs you have entered.

Upload your scanned photograph and signature.

The XAT 2018 application fee has seen a minor hike this year. Candidates interested in taking XAT 2018 must note that they will have to pay XAT exam registration fee and course fee for XLRI additionally. The fee is similar for all category of candidates and the table below provides the list of XAT application fee 2018.

Payment Mode of XAT Application Fee 2018 

Make payment using any of the three modes mentioned below:

Mode I: Online Payment

Through VISA/Master Credit/Debit Cards

(American Express Card is inadmissible)

IDBI Net Banking (this option is available only for IDBI account holder)

Mode II: Cash Payment

Take a print out of XAT Pay-In-Slip and visit the nearest IDBI branch to make payment

Mode III: Demand Draft

Make a DD made from any Bank in favour of "XLRI Jamshedpur A/c XAT" payable at Jamshedpur

Send confirmation page and DD to The Chairperson Admission, XLRI, Circuit House Area (East), Jamshedpur- 831001 within fifteen days from the issuance of DD.
