Pedagogy

IIM Kozhikode follows a proven teaching methodology for all of its programs, including the IIM Kozhikode HRM programme. This includes a blend of lectures, case studies, discussions, behavioural and computer-based simulations, projects, assignments, class presentations, quizzes, and more. This approach has been tested and proven effective in helping students learn and succeed in their studies.

After concluding this IIM Kozhikode HRM programme, the participants should be able to:

Delivery

  • The Interactive Learning component forms the core of the specialisation programmes. Instructors from IIM Kozhikode facilitate learning through two-way audio/video synchronous telecommunication mode from the studio at IIM Kozhikode Campus. Participants can access this IIM Kozhikode HR course lectures from any of the 70 state-of-the-art TimesPro (Formerly Times TSW) Learning Centres across 43 cities all over India. The technology enables the instructor to use slide presentations, video, audio, whiteboards, etc., to communicate ideas and interact with participants effectively.

In-Campus Component

  • The In-campus module is held at the very beginning of the programme and is mandatory to attend. The six-day module provides participants with an orientation towards case-based learning, a foundation for analytical thinking, and orientates them to the learning culture of IIM Kozhikode, apart from discussions on contemporary issues in management practice and trends in the industry and business.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Bachelor’s Degree or it's equivalent in any discipline with 50% aggregate marks or equivalent CGPA.
  • 3 Years of managerial/entrepreneurial/professional work experience after graduation as on the deadline of applying online.

Apart from the educational qualifications and the work experience, admission to the IIM Kozhikode HRM programme is based on a personal interview. TimesPro (Formerly Times TSW) to facilitate the personal interview from their classroom centres.

Certificate and Assessment

Evaluation

  • Evaluation methodology is at the discretion of the faculty. The methodology includes online exams, written tests, assignments, case analysis, quizzes, class contribution, and any other component as decided by the faculty.
  • The programme may require participants to work on individual/group assignments and/or projects. The main objective of such assignments/projects will be to help the participants apply their conceptual learning in the programme to actual organisational decision scenarios.
  • Giving feedback is an integral part of the completion requirements of the programme.

Attendance Criteria

  • A minimum of 75% attendance is a prerequisite for the successful completion of the programme.

Certificate and Assessment

  • On completing the IIM Kozhikode HR course, participants will get a Certificate from IIM Kozhikode. Completion of the course also entitles participants to IIM Kozhikode Alumni Status.

Aspirants with no prior work experience can apply to the IIM Kozhikode Executive Post Graduate Certificate in Human Resource Management (EPGC-HRM) programme, provided they meet the eligibility criteria.

The course duration for the IIM Kozhikode HRM programme is 12 months, including one on-campus session.

This programme is a 3-day campus immersion learning programme.

Upon rejection, candidates will receive a refund of Rs. 13,300 from the processing fee that is included in the tuition fee.
