This module provides exposure to knowledge of a breadth of functional management domains such as marketing, organisational design, strategic management, human resources management, leadership, conflict and negotiation, operations management, accounting, and finance. Participants will explore how foundational management principles from these functional domains can be applied in the healthcare sector.

• Basic concepts in marketing strategies, including branding, customer-centricity, and digital marketing

• Organisational effectiveness, understand elements of organization design, effective organizational change management, and alignment of organizational activities.

• Introduces participants to elements of organisational behaviour, and explores leadership capacity building, conflict and negotiation.

• Fundamentals of Operations management like optimisation, constraint and inventory management etc.

Project Management

• Phases of project lifecycles, and the best practices and tools available focuses on project planning including project scope management, scheduling, risk management, project monitoring and control.

Financial Statement Analysis and Financial Management

• Financial reporting framework, understanding of income, cash flow, balance sheet statements and different types of analyses of financial statements (ratio, trend, DuPont etc,). financial decision-making of firms, an understanding of risk, return and risk-return trade-offs and different modes of financing expansion of firms (debt, equity etc.) and their associated costs.

Communication Skills
